Celliant Fiber Technology

Celliant Fiber Technology

Q.What is Celliant?

A.Celliant is a specially formulated material that is knit, woven or added to fabrics to enhance oxygen levels in the body. Increased oxygen levels have been clinically proven to relieve pain, promote quicker healing, improve sleep quality, heighten athletic performance and improve overall wellness. Celliant is a blend of 13 thermo-reactive minerals that are ground into a single micron and loaded into the core of the fiber within a polyester sheath

Q.What are the major benefits of using products made with Celliant?

A.It has been clinically proven to be beneficial for promoting circulation leading to faster recovery and healing.

Q.How does it work?

A.Celliant recycles human energy (heat). The heat that our body emits is absorbed by the minerals in the fiber. The minerals convert that heat into infrared light. The infrared light penetrates in the muscle and tissue to increase circulation, oxygen and blood flow.

Q.Can Celliant be blended with other material?

A.Yes, it can be blended with nearly any other material; i.e., spandex, polyester, wool, nylon, fabrics blends.

Q.Has Celliant been tested?

A.It is the most established and clinically tested infrared textile in the industry. There have been 10 completed  3rd party clinical trials and 4 more are in process – proving the effectiveness of Celliant technology.

Q.Who has conducted the clinical trials?

A.Under the guidance of Celliant’s Scientific Advisory Board, which is composed of distinguished experts in photobiology, chemistry, diabetes, wound care and sleep medicine, clinical trials have been conducted by the University of California – Irvine, University of Calgary, UC Long Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wellman Center, SGS, Intertek, Texas A&M, Loyola University – Chicago.

Q.What other products can use Celliant?

A.Celliant delivers the benefits of Infrared technology to nearly every application where textiles are used, including apparel, bedding, healthcare and veterinary products.

Q.Has the Celliant technology been patented?

A.Yes, the patented manufacturing process for Celliant can be used in nearly any fabric blend to fit any application or product line.

Q.How long does the Celliant technology last in products?

A.Celliant technology lasts the lifetime of the material.

Q.Can it be washed out?

A.No, Celliant will never washout or breakdown.

Q.Does it have antimicrobial protection?

A.Yes. Unlike our competitors that spray on antimicrobial protection that washes out after multiple washings, Celliant’s antimicrobial protection is part of the fiber and will not wash out.

Q.Is Celliant coated or treated with any other chemicals?

A.No. Celliant is NOT a coated or treated fiber.

Q.Are there any restrictions to the use of the Celliant fiber for humans or animals?

A.Celliant is a non-invasive technology. Allergic reactions to any materials can occur; however, since Celliant products became available in 2003, there have been no reported cases of allergic reactions. However, as Celliant requires a synthetic carrier, you should not use Celliant if you are allergic to polyester fibers.

Q.What is Celliant made from?

A.Celliant is a unique blend of 13 thermo-reactive minerals including titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. Additional proprietary ingredients are blended with polyester fiber to create a variety of staple fibers, spun and filament yarns, and fabric blends.

Q.What is a “responsive” textile?

A.A responsive textile is a material that interacts with the body, recycling its natural energy emission to improve function and performance of the user.

Q.Will my skin temperature increase if I’m reusing my body’s energy?

A.No, by reemitting energy back into the body, the process acts a thermal regulator to help balance body temperature. When circulation is increased, the body is able to either warm up or cool down, depending on the external environment, more easily through convection.

Q.Are there any negative side effects to Celliant?

A.Celliant is a non-invasive technology. Allergic reactions to any materials can occur; however, since Celliant products became available in 2003, there have been no reported cases of allergic reactions. However, as Celliant requires a synthetic carrier, you should not use Celliant if you are allergic to polyester fibers.

Q.Do Celliant products require special care or laundering?

A.No, Celliant’s patented technology is embedded into the core of the fibers so that it cannot wash or wear out. The technology is not based on a coating or an application. Therefore, the benefits of Celliant technology last the life of the fiber and products do not require special care.
